Jason Titifanue

Jason Titifanue is a Rotuman from the Republic of the Fiji Islands. He is currently a PhD candidate with the School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Melbourne, and an Honorary Research Associate with the Institute of Human Security and Social Change at La Trobe University. Prior to this he worked as a teaching staff at the University of the South Pacific. His research interests are rooted in the Pacific Islands region and include post-colonial discourse, climate change narratives, digital activism, self-determination, and grassroots regionalism. His current PhD research work examines the framing and narratives surrounding climate change in the Pacific Islands region, and how Pacific activist networks respond to such framings and narratives.
